A free motorcycle giveaway is often run by an apparel brand or a builder, with a custom machine as the prize and entries sold through merch. A UTV giveaway or dirt bike giveaway tends to look the same, sometimes with a truck and trailer bundled in. These powersports sweepstakes usually accept mail-in cards, and the card is often worth a small fraction of what a paid package gets.

Plan for the costs that follow a win. The winner owes income tax on the machine's value, a 1099 is typical, and registration or delivery may be on you. Some machines can't be registered for road use in every state, and sponsors may exclude states outright. If the rules contain a minimum-proceeds clause, the machine can be replaced by a smaller cash amount when entry sales fall short.
