Best free-entry value

Free entries aren't equal. One postcard can be worth $200 of purchases at one giveaway and a dollar at another. We compare the free entry with the operator's own prices.

How a free entry works

Most giveaways take a hand-written card by mail. It takes about two minutes and one stamp.

  1. 1

    Hand-print the card

A 3x5 index card with exactly the details the rules ask for, in their order. Printed or photocopied cards are void.

  2. 2

    Address the envelope

Copy the address character for character. We check every address word-for-word against the official rules.

  3. 3

    Mail it in time

One card per envelope, mailed by our mail-by date so it lands before the sponsor's deadline.

Straight answers, not hype

Free entry beats paying. It doesn't beat the odds. Here's what we do and don't do.

  • We read the official rules. Addresses, deadlines and what to write come from the sponsor's own rules, not from ads or other directories.
  • We show the real value. If a free card is worth 1 entry while $29 buys 40, we say so.
  • We never enter for you. Entry services void entries under most rules. You hand-print every card.
  • No raffles. If there's no free way to enter, it isn't listed.
